Konica Minolta Technical Certification Program

Konica Minolta Wins Brandon Hall Learning Award!

Outward is Konica Minolta's Technical Certification Program. This worldwide tech program is targeted at field technicians and technical support staff of Konica Minolta, our subsidiaries, and channel partners which include distributors, dealers and authorized service providers.

The Konica Minolta Technical Certification Program curriculum provides technical managers with a structured process to enhance a technician or technical support members' industry knowledge and set a career path for their professional development.

The term "Outward" reflects our worldwide initiative to develop training materials that are "outside the box".

Our certification program is comprised of four certification levels that build on each other (Associate, Professional, Expert and Master). The Expert and Master layers are divided into specific technology tracks for Color, Production Print, Network, and Office Solutions. Each specific level of training is proudly displayed on the technicians’ business cards.

Our objective with Konica Minolta Outward establishes an industry-specific standard for certifying field technicians and technical support staff and enables us to:

  • Increase the level of service and support (such as the installation, maintenance and repair of Konica Minolta multifunctional products and computer operation software) we provide to our customers and worldwide market partners, through an international foundation of clearly defined skill-sets necessary for effective service and support.

  • Make product specific web-based and instructor-led technical education more efficient by developing training courses built from a standardized basic level of learner knowledge.

  • Enhance Konica Minolta technician motivation for professional skill development by providing a defined structure, learning tools, and achievement milestones.

  • Objectively measure and analyze the existing skill levels in service and support organizations to use as a basis for effectively targeting training and education resources.

  • Establish a worldwide training strategy building on the individual development needs of the service and support staff.

  • Share worldwide resources for the development and production of learning material and test question sets.
