Konica Minolta began in the 1800s doing common things like selling photographic materials, but as technology evolved, so did we. Today, we’re proudly bringing to our customers such exciting products as 3D printers and innovative solutions for a mobile workforce. And we’ll continue to do things in an uncommon way to command the world’s attention as we have for almost 150 years.

    “Once upon a time in a land far, far away …”

  • In 1873, Rokusaburo Sugiura began selling photographic materials in Tokyo. By 1900, the company had developed its first camera. In 1971, Japan's first plain paper copier was introduced. A merger of Konica and Minolta was accomplished in 2003, creating a corporate giant with wide-ranging expertise in digital, optical and electronic technology. In 2014, we opened our first Business Innovation Center in the U.S. with the simple vision to lead profound and enduring transformation.
