Konica Minolta Personalizes the MFP Experience with bizhub MarketPlace Chameleon

Advanced panel customization and device administration functionality keeps the technology leader ahead of the curve

 

Ramsey, NJ – August 19, 2015 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today introduced a revolutionary way to fully customize your own control panel and to streamline workflow functionality right at the user interface of the multifunction printers at your business. With the creation of bizhub Marketplace Chameleon, the latest addition to the information management leader’s suite of offerings, users can now personalize their MFPs.

Available through the bizhub Marketplace, a user-friendly, online store for browsing and purchasing apps, the bizhub MarketPlace’s Chameleon gives customers the power and flexibility to work even more efficiently by allowing them to create, personalize and install custom User Interfaces at the MFP based on their organization and preference. By creating unique interfaces to suit individual business needs, customers will be able to optimize the MFP functionality and user experience:

  • Reduce the number of button clicks necessary to perform basic operations at the MFP
  • Remove options that are unnecessary or should not be modified by end-users
  • Highlight important features
  • Customize the MFP to fit their organizational branding standards

With these advanced features, users can easily personalize the design and layout of their MFP touch screens and manage their bizhub MarketPlace apps.

Create Your Own MFP User Screens

Users can log into the bizhub MarketPlace (http://www.bizhubmarketplace.com) to access Chameleon. The designer tool is simple to use: customers can easily drag and drop the functions they want displayed onto their touchscreens, minimizing the number of keystrokes and the amount of time needed to perform functions at the MFP. bizhub Marketplace Chameleon also offers the option to add company colors, logos, and/or images to the touchscreen background, providing customers with a new and powerful way to extend their company's corporate culture and ensure corporate consistency throughout the workplace.

 

Enterprise Management

bizhub MarketPlace Chameleon features include streamlined functionality for efficient management of bizhub MarketPlace apps and devices. From the bizhub MarketPlace website, various departments within an organization can install and manage customized touch screens and bizhub MarketPlace apps onto a fleet of MFPs with a simple click. In addition, bizhub MarketPlace Chameleon give administrators more control over how apps and custom touch screens are displayed on the MFP. Users can choose to display specific apps directly on the Home Screen for easy access, or run a custom touch screen by default when the MFP is first powered on. All of this and more can now be done remotely, from one centralized location. 

The custom panel designer tool is free for all users who have a bizhub MarketPlace account, and there is no limit to the number of custom panels that can be designed. However, in order to install a custom panel on an MFP, a Custom Panel Device License for the device must be purchased and installed.
