More Companies Looking Up to the Cloud

June 24, 2014

Have you joined the cloud revolution? If you use Salesforce.com to connect with customers, Dropbox to share large files or Concur for travel expenses, you are using the cloud. If you use a smartphone or tablet, you are using the cloud.

The maturity of the technology has led more businesses to embrace the cloud. A 2013 study reveals that 75 percent of IT managers report they are currently using or evaluating using cloud computing. 77 percent of enterprise businesses (with more than 1,000 employees) polled are using the cloud. 73 percent of SMB businesses with less than 1,000 employees are also in the cloud. The return on investment for the first year of cloud storage deployment is 58 percent. ROI reaches 433 percent by Year Five.

Businesses embracing the cloud enjoy advantages over their competitors. Cloud-based companies are more nimble. They enjoy greater data protection. They save money by reducing investments in hardware and administrative overhead. They improve performance and access. They have peace of mind because of business continuity even in times of disaster. Few businesses will argue with these results. As a result, cloud-related tech spending by businesses is expected to triple between 2011 and 2017, as per research by HIS Technology, a global information company.

However, to join the cloud revolution you need a good partner to guide you. That is where All Covered, Konica Minolta’s IT services division, can help. We have an expert staff of IT experts that can help you understand the options available, making it easy to leverage the benefits of cloud computing. This allows you to focus on growing your business.

To help you join the revolution, All Covered has several upcoming events. We’ll be at LegalTech® West Coast in LA on June 24-25, presenting “The Cloud … What Are You Afraid Of?” at 10:30 a.m. PDT June 25. Among the topics we’ll cover are the definition of the types of clouds, best practices, security and regulatory concerns and advice on moving to the cloud. For more general information, we’re also offering two free webinars, “The Cloud Revolution,” at 1 p.m. EDT June 25 and 4 p.m. EDT June 26.
