Konica Minolta: Blueprint for the Future

July 22, 2014

On July 9, 2014, we held the Print Production Technology Showcase and Blueprint for the Future at our New York City Customer Engagement Center.

This event allowed industry media and analysts the opportunity to see our flagship digital color production printer bizhub PRESS C1100, plus our top-of-the-line monochrome bizhub PRESS 2250P and our high-volume color bizhub PRESS C1085. It also gave media and analysts the opportunity to hear success stories and speak directly with our early-placement customers of the bizhub PRESS C1100, all of whom gave glowing reviews about our signature production printer. This real-world feedback is critical to proclaiming a successful product launch and demonstrating our portfolio’s value to customers.

Along with our Technology Showcase, we unveiled our Blueprint for the Future. Konica Minolta is in the midst of a business transformation. Our philosophy is “The Creation of New Value” and we would like to provide more value to our customers by ultimately changing the DNA of our organization from being an expert on the product to an expert on the customer.

Our Blueprint is being driven by three targeted growth areas. The first is information management, which includes ECM Services, workflow, mobility, document management, security/compliance and storage. The second is IT services, which includes infrastructure, cloud, mobility, helpdesk and business continuity. The third is technology, which encompasses office, print production, wide format, 3D, inkjet, PC, servers and networking equipment.

We will accomplish our Blueprint by focusing on solutions that are market differentiators. They include leveraging bEST integration, focusing on vertical applications and expanding their depth, introducing new solutions, and driving market leadership via customer insight. To this end, we plan to introduce more than 20 new solutions over the coming year. We will undertake more strategic partnerships and acquisitions to position ourselves as an industry leader. We will continue to expand our presence in commercial print, managed print services, IT Services and the solutions business while gaining share in the core multi-function print business.

Our Blueprint for the Future maps our vision: To be acknowledged by our customers as a leader, utilizing innovative technology, quality services and unique solutions to add unmatched value to the global society.
