Konica Minolta Wins American Security Today Awards

November 21, 2017

Konica Minolta has been expanding and transforming its business by building off our strong imaging legacy. This transformation includes everything from offering IT services to helping reshape workspaces and most recently with our Workplace of the Future™ solutions. It’s a mighty undertaking, so it’s very satisfying when a third-party comes along and acknowledges just how successful our transformation has been. I’m very pleased to say that this occurred last week when we won multiple awards in the government security sector from American Security Today (AST).

The 2017 ASTORS Homeland Security Awards were presented on November 15 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. The awards, sponsored by American Security Today, the premier provider of public safety information for Homeland Security, “recognize outstanding product and services achievements and exciting new technologies” in physical and IT security. Here are the awards we won:

bizhub® SECURE – Platinum Award – Best IP State Government Security Program

bizhub® SECURE – Platinum Award – Best IP Federal Government Security Program

bizhub® CAC/PIV – Gold Award – Best Smart Card/Reader System

Todd Foote with ASTORS Awards

According to Todd Foote, our Vice President of Government Sales & Marketing, Konica Minolta now covers many aspects of our clients internal security. It begins with our MFPs that are equipped with bizhub SECURE or bizhub SECURE Platinum, our CAC/PIV Smart Card system and Dispatcher Phoenix for Government, and then extends with optimal cybersecurity protection, thanks to our All Covered IT Security Services. With this coverage, we can confidently protect many critical assets, whether they be on premise or in the cloud.

“Sometimes it’s hard to realize how many areas around us need to be secure,” Foote said. “Our opportunity to protect a number of assets for a client really distinguishes us from our competitors – and this third-party recognition provides additional confirmation, supporting the high quality of our security measures.”

These awards also raise our reputation in the important Washington, DC, region where our nation’s security begins. Konica Minolta is very proud to be earning a great reputation in Homeland Security just as we have earned similar reputations and praise with our MFPs, effective workflow strategies and with introducing innovative technologies like our forthcoming Workplace Hub. The success of our company’s transformation rides on products and recognitions like these.
