Balancing Safety and Privacy: Navigating the Ethics of Facial Recognition in Schools

March 21, 2023 @ 2:00 pm 5:00 pm

Join Sooketo Bhuta for an interactive webinar roundtable discussion on the ethical implications of using facial recognition technology in schools. Sponsored by ZeroNow, a panel of experts will explore the challenges of balancing safety and privacy, and share their perspectives on the use of facial recognition in education.

(Extra info here but not needed – We’ll start by delving into the current state of facial recognition technology, including its strengths and limitations. Then, we’ll turn to the ethical and privacy concerns that arise when using facial recognition in schools, including issues related to data security, bias, and student privacy. We will provide an outline of the webinar as the date nears so that everyone knows what to expect, as well as give every panelist the opportunity to provide some “starter questions” that they would like to have asked of them during the webinar.
