Popular Microsoft® Operating Systems

RAMSEY, N.J. - January 31, 2005 - Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announced that its line of multifunctional devices, copiers and printers, including the full bizhub line of products, and its print drivers have achieved Microsoft Certification under the "Designed for Windows" program.  This certification helps customers and resellers identify systems and peripherals that meet a baseline definition of platform features and quality goals that provide optimal performance on Windows®-based PCs and servers.

Certified Konica Minolta products that have passed Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL) compatibility testing are listed on the Microsoft Windows Catalog, Windows Server Catalog and Products Designed for Microsoft Windows Web sites.

Print drivers for Konica Minolta products earning the "Designed for Windows" logo certification have been tested by Microsoft to ensure that they meet Microsoft standards for compatibility with the Windows operating systems designated on the logo, and that all components install and uninstall properly and do not interfere with other system components.  This certification is commonly referred to as "driver signing" or "digital signature".  Microsoft Certified print drivers are available for download at www.kmbs.konicaminolta.us.

"We are pleased to announce this logo certification, which is of particular importance to our customers and resellers who need assurance that our networked products are fully compatible with Microsoft operating systems," said Kevin P. Kern, vice president, product planning and development, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.  "The success of our vision for the bizhub line of products - placing business professionals at the "hub" of their business scene by delivering boundless access and information - is dependent on seamless network connectivity.  This industry certification ensures that our products will provide a good Windows experience for the user."
