Konica Minolta Awarded Top Position in Quality Management Level Research

Company receives highest ranking in customer centricity from JUSE

Ramsey, NJ – December 1, 2014 – Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta), the parent company of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), has been awarded the top position in the eighth Quality Management Level Research by the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE).

JUSE conducts an independent evaluation of up-to-date quality management based on six factors that demonstrate the commitment and practice to enhance quality. The six factors are: top management commitment; development of human resources to execute quality management; management of security, safety and trust; establishment and abidance of process; customer centricity; and capability to take good systems to other parts of the company.

More than 600 companies mainly from manufacturing industries in Japan are included in the research.

Konica Minolta received the highest ranking in the assessment of “customer centricity” and “capability to take good systems into other parts of the company,” among a set of six factors to evaluate systematic programs toward quality improvement and the status of ongoing activities. In addition, the company was among the top three in the assessment of “development of human resources to execute quality management” and “management of security, safety and trust.”
