Witness Konica Minolta’s Award-Winning Technologies and the #10 Konica Minolta Chevrolet Corvette Dallara DP September 28 – October 1, McCormick Place, Chicago, Konica Minolta Booth #1231

Ramsey, N.J. – September 10, 2014 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announces that the company will showcase some of the fastest, high-performance solutions available for graphic communication professionals at Graph Expo 14 from September 28 – October 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Under the theme of “The Winner’s Circle,” Konica Minolta booth #1231 will feature the #10 Konica Minolta Chevrolet Corvette Dallara DP.  Graph Expo attendees will be able to see the car, meet the race team and have photos taken, which will be printed and finished using Konica Minolta’s latest technologies.

“Focusing on bringing speed and enhanced performance to our graphic communication customers, Konica Minolta invites all Graph Expo 14 attendees to join us in The Winner’s Circle to witness some of the most innovative and efficient solutions in the industry,” says Kevin Kern, senior vice president, Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. “Clients trust Konica Minolta to help them envision how they can achieve their goals and drive powerful results with innovative solutions that give shape to their ideas.”

With speed and performance as themes throughout the booth, Konica Minolta will highlight how graphics communications professionals can accelerate their business with the Company’s EnvisionIT Production, combining bizhub PRESS technology, production solutions and professional services into a total solution.

The next-generation of both color and monochrome bizhub PRESS technology will be front and center in “The Winner’s Circle.” The bizhub PRESS C1100 color digital press is ideal for commercial printers and in-plant print providers, boasting 100 pages per minute (ppm) and reliably accurate registration and color consistency regardless of print job length or complexity. The bizhub PRESS 2250P builds upon the successful technology of the bizhub PRESS 1250 series, which includes LED imaging and Simitri HD toner for true 1200 x1200 dpi print resolution.  Printing at up to 250 duplex impressions ppm (15,000 per hour), the bizhub PRESS 2250P easily handles long-run digital printing for improved turnaround times plus offers the ability to be sold into transactional environments with optional VDP capabilities. Both bizhub PRESSes support a wide array of substrate types and weights and a broad range of inline finishing options for professional-looking output while enabling more effective workflow management.

At the Solutions Center within “The Winner’s Circle,” Konica Minolta will showcase cutting-edge software options to manage print workflow and reduce costs, including the preview of a cloud-based document management solution specifically targeting graphic communications professionals. FileAssist for Graphic Communications offers faster and more efficient customer collaboration capabilities, helping printers securely manage print files through the job creation, submission, printing and finishing process, all while managing workflow in the cloud. The Solutions Center will also feature EngageIT Automation, an order management and production solution that can maximize profitability by simplifying processes, and EngageIT XMedia, a cloud-based, automated marketing platform, among the solutions targeting automation, file sharing, IT services, marketing, MIS, variable data and workflow.

“The Winner’s Circle” will also showcase new alliances with leading technology companies. Under a partnership with 3D Systems, Konica Minolta is the first original equipment manufacturer to sell, support and service 3D Systems’ 3D printing product portfolio through its U.S. channels. Technology available at Booth #1231 will include a professional 3D printer capable of printing high-quality, durable plastic parts accurately and with high resolution and full color to create models for product design, prototypes, assemblies and color concept models. Also exclusive to Konica Minolta, MGI Digital Graphic Technology will reveal JETvarnish 3DS digital spot UV 3D coater, which will be available across North America. The newest addition to the JETvarnish Digital Spot UV Coating line, the JETvarnish 3DS is the first achievement of MGI’s strategic alliance with Konica Minolta and was designed by MGI exclusively for the Konica Minolta sales network. The third-generation JETvarnish has all the tactile effects and advantages of the original JETvarnish 3D, with only half the footprint.

Konica Minolta will hold a press conference from 1-1:45 p.m. CST September 28 in Room S502A, McCormick Place, Chicago, to discuss its latest technology.
