Konica Minolta is Awarded the 2018 Document Imaging Software Line of the Year Award for Its Outstanding Portfolio from Buyers Lab
Ramsey, NJ – February 23, 2018 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announced that the company has won the 2018 Document Imaging Software Line of the Year award in North America from the analysts at Keypoint Intelligence-Buyers Lab (BLI). Given once a year, this coveted award recognizes the vendor that offers the most complete and robust software portfolio across the range of document imaging application categories that BLI covers in its bliQ subscription service.
Konica Minolta landed in the top tier in the majority of the categories evaluated and received the highest score of any vendor in the device authentication category. The company’s devices also scored very well in hard drive security, function control, job protection, and device security protocols, as well as in having the entire system certified, as opposed to only one component or option. In addition to its document technology portfolio, Konica Minolta (through its All Covered subsidiary) can also provide managed security services for an entire network and all connected devices.
The company earned points for several of its own class-leading software offerings, including the Dispatcher Phoenix capture/workflow platform. The apps and customizable user interfaces available via its groundbreaking Konica Minolta Marketplace online app portal also figured favorably into the equation, as did the company’s strong portfolio of class-leading document imaging applications sourced from independent software vendors such as Kofax, Nuance Communications, Pharos Systems, Prism Software, Square 9 Softworks and many others.
“We are excited to receive this prestigious award from BLI in recognition of our industry-leading solutions portfolio,” said Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President, Business Intelligence Services and Product Planning, Konica Minolta. “As clients’ needs evolve, we will continue to invest in aligning our solutions and services offerings to meet both their current and future requirements.”
"Document and device security is a concern in every organization, and for entities such as government office, healthcare providers, financial services firms, and law offices, it is an imperative," said Jamie Bsales, Director of Solutions Analysis at Keypoint Intelligence-Buyers Lab. "Konica Minolta focuses much of its strategy on these paper-intensive vertical markets, and our study confirms that the company's portfolio is able to meet those challenges."
