For Second Year, Company Stands Behind Extraordinary Achievements

Ramsey, NJ – October 15, 2014 – Believing that the extraordinary efforts of everyday people need a global showcase, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) is proud to sponsor “CNN Heroes.”

“CNN Heroes” puts the spotlight on individuals who go to extraordinary lengths to serve others. All “heroes” are nominated by viewers via an online submission policy. Since its inception eight years ago, more than 200 heroes have been profiled from more than 50,000 global submissions. The 2014 campaign began October 1 and runs through December.

“CNN Heroes” aligns with Konica Minolta’s global citizenship efforts to give back to society. Among the company’s initiatives are participation in the UN Global Compact, the creation of a conflict minerals compliance policy and the launch of the Medium-Term Environmental Plan 2016 to address environmental challenges and enhance corporate competitiveness.

Konica Minolta’s special website “Giving Shape to Ideas ‘Social Actions’” will feature stories from “CNN Heroes” and social contribution activities at the Konica Minolta Group’s global community.

“CNN Heroes” segments will air each week on CNN, HLN, Airport Network and CNN International in the US. Along with the weekly segment, Konica Minolta will also sponsor “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” scheduled to air December 7 on CNN’s global networks.
